Scott McTominay posts positive injury update on Instagram

Manchester United Football Club have been massively struggling with injuries this season. It feels like Paul Pogba has been out the whole year, while I’ll personally be surprised if we see Marcus Rashford before the season’s end.

Another long-term absentee is Scott McTominay. The midfielder was arguably United’s Player of the Season until he suffered treatment table woes. Make no mistake about it, his absence has been sorely felt…

Anyway, yesterday, United’s key 22-year-old took to his Instagram (stories) to offer a positive injury update amid Reds’ injury struggles:

The fact that he’s back walking is massively encouraging. It means the protective boot or cast is now off and McTominay is now on the road to recovery.

Our Scottish midfielder has offered a real presence in midfield this season and without his passion, fight and character, our team has looked totally different. Hopefully, he’s back in the not too distant future as we’re definitely going to need him for our run-in.

One thing I will say is that United shouldn’t rush him back. The last thing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs is to lose McTominay for an even longer period as he tries to get him back out there a game or two early.
