Manchester United could well be on the verge of sealing one of the biggest transfers of the summer, as according to Sky Sports News, Sergio Ramos has told Real Madrid that he wants to join Manchester United Football Club during this transfer window.
Louis van Gaal has opened the bidding with an initial offer of £28.6million, and the interest from both sides is very real.
Sky Sports News’ Graham Hunter said:
“Ramos likes the project at Manchester United, he wants to be part of the project to make them great again.
Its great to see just how keen the 29-year old is. He clearly wants a new challenge, and having him at the heart of our defence would be fantastic.
I’m fairly certain that Real Madrid will immediately reject our opening bid of £28.6million however, and I’d imagine it will take quite a bit more to convince Benitez to part with one of his prized assets.
