Manchester United 6, AS Roma 2. Man, I’ll never get tired of writing that. Anyway, for their performances, seven(!) players have been included in WhoScored’s latest Team of the Week.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have one foot in the final. It’s about going over to Italy and getting the job done with little fuss. Although the first half on display last night wasn’t blessed with quality, that second 45 was arguably our best football of the year.
It’s no surprise then, that United players are featuring heavily in Team of the Week’s all over the show this morning.
I’ve never seen domination like this, with seven United stars named in WhoScored’s Team of the Week. One player actually achieved a perfect 10 rating, which is something I haven’t seen in a while!

Let’s start from the back, with three defenders getting the nod. Captain Harry Maguire scored a 6.6 rating, which was actually the lowest in the XI. Then you have Aaron Wan-Bissaka who was given a 7.2 and Luke Shaw a 7.3
Mason Greenwood played for about 20 minutes and he somehow managed to sneak into this team with a 7.2. He wrapped up proceedings with a brilliant team goal. Paul Pogba’s 8.1 actually feels a little harsh, though the fans know just how brilliant he was on the night. Bruno Fernandes’ 2 goals and 2 assists leave him with a 9.7 score.
Edinson Cavani is the man of the moment. A perfect 10 for El Matador, who led the line brilliantly all night long, scored two cracking goals and played in an outrageous ball to Greenwood to finish it off. This was easily his best display in Reds colours and I absolutely loved every second of it.
Well played, fellas!
