Exciting Man United winger, Shea Lacey, is all set to be handed his full debut before the end of the campaign.

Manchester United Football Club have never shied away from giving younger players their opportunities at the highest level. Erik ten Hag’s hand has been somewhat forced in that regard this season, though the likes of Alejandro Garnacho, Willy Kambwala and Kobbie Mainoo look right at home within the Reds first-team.

Perhaps the biggest talent in the academy right now is Shea Lacey. The general consensus is that the attacker is the next man in line to make the leap up to the first-team. I just assumed it’d be pre-season before we see the teenager in action.

However, his time may come sooner than that, if the latest report from The Sun’s Alan Nixon is to be believed.

According to his information, the exciting young winger is all ‘set’ to be given his United debut before the end of the season, with Lacey’s senior bow already pencilled in.

Lacey has already trained with the first-team on numerous occasions, having also signed his first pro terms recently, too.

Predominantly a right-sided attacker, Lacey is no doubt chomping at the bit to be given that first opportunity to prove his worth. Although he’s yet to make a senior match-day squad, the 17-year-old could be in line to receive that chance over the next month or so.

Lacey is that talented, he’s one of those players who’ll likely skip over a loan move away from Old Trafford, instead being thrust straight into the first-team fold at some point over the next year or so. That’s just how good he is.

Could we see him feature against Sheffield United later today? I genuinely wouldn’t rule it out.

Do you think Shea Lacey has what it takes to make it at Man United? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
