Mega-talented youngster, Shea Lacey, has signed his first pro terms with Man United.
Manchester United have an insane amount of talented youngsters on their books right now. Credit to the academy coaches and scouts for that, as Old Trafford is a hotbed for the next generation.
The Red Devils haven’t ever shied away from giving these guys their chances at the highest level. That’s testament to Erik ten Hag and his staff, who are placing real trust in these younger guys.
Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo are leading the way in that regard, though there’s plenty of teenagers hot on their heels.
Shea Lacey feels like the crown jewel of United’s youth sides right now. This young man can play at a supremely high level already. I am super excited to watch him develop and grow.
Now, his future is secure. The reliable Academy Scoop have shared the latest on that front, claiming that the mega-talented United youngster has now officially signed his first pro contract with the Reds.
His deal will run until 2029, meaning Lacey has put pen to paper on a five-year deal.

United have always been keen to tie players down to new deals sooner rather than later. This is yet another example of that. Lacey will feel like he’s at a place that truly believes in his ability, which is 100% true at this stage.
The young man has genuine potential to become one of the best players on the planet, though it’s never a sure-fire thing given the fact he’s still so young.
For now, the next logical step is likely Lacey joining up with the senior squad on pre-season tour, before either being dripfed minutes next season or sent out on loan. When you’re that talented, you often skip the obligatory loan move away for a season…
