Shea Lacey spotted in Man United first-team training ahead of Bournemouth game

Another Man United teenage sensation has been pictured in first-team training. This time, it’s Shea Lacey.

Manchester United Football Club should get back to what they know. I’ve always said it. Rather than splashing big cash on big name players, the Red Devils should utilise their academy and develop the insane talents at the club.

Erik ten Hag has been keen to continue that mantra, while also being somewhat forced into trusting in youth due to the massive amount of injuries suffered all season. Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho are the current crowning jewels, though others are trying to follow suit.

Take Shea Lacey for example. This guy is mega-talented. His Reds future is secure due to recently signing new terms, with the attacker now purely focused on getting his opportunity – then taking it with both hands.

Well, ahead of the Bournemouth game this weekend, the teenage sensation has been pictured back in United first-team training, which is testament to his sheer talent and ability.

Lacey isn’t the first young kid being given this opportunity recently, nor will he be the last, though it does feel like the right time to be introduced to training with some of the best players in the world.

I actually believe Lacey is the most talented youngster at the club. That’s an extremely high bar, but just watch him play and you’ll totally understand where I’m coming from. Without wanting to heap pressure on him, he’s special.

At the end of the day, the chances we see Lacey in the matchday squad this weekend is slim to none. However, the fact that he now getting the recognition his talents deserve is a great step in the right direction.

Keep working, Shea!
