Shola Shoretire and Amad Diallo were in first-team training ahead of Real Sociedad away.
Manchester United Football Club have always given youth a chance. That will simply never change. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has continued that mantra, while the talent at youth level coming through the academy can only be described as overflowing.
With games coming thick and fast, I’d imagine it won’t be too long before we see a few of these guys involved at senior level. Now, the young United duo of Shola Shoretire and Amad Diallo, both of whom are yet to make their senior debuts, have once again been spotted in first-team training ahead of Real Sociedad away. Cheers to the official club website for the info.
This is the second time in the space of a week where Diallo and Shoretire have been involved at first-team level. One thing is clear, the Baby Faced Assassin is, at the very least, seeing whether these guys are ready.
What are the chances of debuts against Sociedad?
I’d probably say it’s still pretty slim that they’ll play tomorrow night. After all, it’s a massive game and these guys are only just starting out their careers.
Maybe if the result is comfortable and United are in control they may be thrown on for five or ten minutes at the end – but I don’t see any way they start this match.
Shoretire and Diallo just have to remain patient. Be it in a cup game this season, or European football next season, they’ll get their chance to shine. Keep playing well in training and the opportunities will flow. It’s up to them to grab that chance with both hands when their moment finally arrives.
Does Shoretire and Diallo in first-team training hint at a debut soon?
