Manchester United broke a world record way back in 2009, when Cristiano Ronaldo fulfilled a dream by switching the red of Manchester United for the all-white of Real Madrid. Now, six years down the line, a return could be on the cards.
According to the Spanish publication Marca, one man playing a huge part in any potential return for Ronaldo is Sir Alex Ferguson, with the iconic Scot apparently working with the Glazers and advising them about a potential move for the Portugal star.
It seems that until Ronaldo does come back to Old Trafford, or decides to retire, that these moves linking him with a comeback will be inevitable. As of yet there hasn’t been much substance to any rumour, but as Real Madrid continue to struggle, a move is going to be publicised more and more.
Personally I’d love to see him back but I just cannot see it happening.
