Although it has taken longer than expected, Manchester United are finally going about their business and ridding of the deadwood.
According to Sky Sports News, United and Inter have agreed a loan deal over the 30-year-old Alexis Sanchez – and he’ll head to the Serie A for the next ten months.
The loan deal will cost United £6million in wages while Inter will contribute £4.5million – though there is no deal in place for the Milan club to buy Sanchez. They’ll hold talks about that possibility at the season’s end.
Furthermore, Sanchez is expected to arrive in Italy for a medical today ahead of a short-term switch away from Old Trafford.
Honestly, I’m thrilled that Sanchez is away from United this season. He has been nothing but a bad influence who has sucked the life out of that dressing room over the last eighteen months.
Constant injuries coupled with poor performances have completely shattered his confidence. Sure, he may go to Inter with a new-found belief in himself and play well in Serie A, but United are right to move him on despite how well he potentially could do in Italy. He hasn’t done it here in Manchester and that should be the be-all-end-all to the debate.
