Sky: Man United could persuade Leicester to sell Maguire if they pay £80m ‘magic figure’

With less than a week left until the transfer deadline slams shut, it’s no surprise to hear that we’re getting transfer updates by the hour given to us from media outlets all over the world.

One rumour that just will not go away is a proposed Manchester United move for Harry Maguire. The latest we covered came from the Daily Mirror, who stated that the defender was desperate to make the move to Old Trafford, though the clubs remained £15million apart in their valuations.

Well shortly after the aforementioned story broke, Sky Sports News had a much more positive outlook on the situation – for United fans anyway…

Apparently, United could sign the 26-year-old if they agree to pay the £80million ‘magic figure’, thus persuading Leicester to cash in on one of their prized assets.

It’s weird really because previously Sky gave an update claiming that United are willing to pay £80million for Maguire, so what’s the problem?

I guess United don’t mind paying the aforementioned figure, they just haven’t made the bit yet…?

In al honesty, I just can’t wait for this saga to be over. For what it’s worth I feel a deal will eventually be done – but expect it to go right down to the wire…
