Sky: Man United remain long way apart from Sporting’s Bruno Fernandes valuation

Manchester United blatantly need midfield help – that much is obvious. With the January transfer window now in full flow, many fans expected the Red Devils to have already made their move.

Well, it’s not for the want of trying as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has seemingly identified Bruno Fernandes as his man. Apparently, the feeling is mutual. We covered a story from The Telegraph just yesterday in which it was claimed the player himself wants the move.

Today, Sky Sports News gave us another update on the future of the Portuguese attacking-midfielder. Apparently, United are still in talks to sign the 25-year-old – though the clubs remain a long way apart in their valuation.

Don’t panic, this is to be expected. United obviously want to pay as little as possible while Sporting will be trying to eek the absolute maximum out of the Red Devils, hence why I believe this one will go right down to the wire.

Apparently, Sporting want their former player Marcos Rojo included in the deal and while United are willing to include the Argentine, the Portuguese outfit want to discuss other potential signings should the centre-back stay at Old Trafford.

Fair enough, explore all your options, that makes sense.

Again, it’s early days. Negotiations have been ongoing for less than a week and these big-money moves do take time. There are almost three weeks left in the transfer window so no time to fret at this stage…
