Manchester United Football Club are not looking to sell Anthony Martial this summer.
That’s according to Sky Sources, who adds that Jose Mourinho sees the superstar Frenchman as a part of his plans going into the new season.
The news comes literally hours after Martial’s agent confirmed that his client wants to leave Old Trafford, but it’s good to learn that the Old Trafford club are keen on keeping the 22-year-old around.
Martial is a fantastic talent, there is no getting away from that. The former AS Monaco man was brilliant before the turn of the year, but struggled since Alexis Sanchez came on the scene.
You can understand his frustration, particularly as the man from Chile was hardly setting the world alight at times. However, the ball is in United’s court. Martial still has one year (with the option for another) left on his deal, and they’re in no rush to let the attacker go.
If the worst does happen and United are forced to let him go, I just hope that they don’t sell to a fellow Premier League club. Sky Sources add that Tottenham Hotspur have held a long-standing interest in Martial.
