Manchester United fans all over the globe could be about to rejoice. David Moyes’ interest in Marouane Fellaini has been confirmed by Sky Sports News, the big Belgian, 28, has divided fan opinion like no other ever since Moyes infamously signed him on deadline day a few years ago.
Sunderland hired David Moyes as manager just a week or so ago, and now in his first press conference, the Scot has declared his interest in signing Fellaini for a third time.
This doesn’t by any means guarantee that a deal will be agreed between the two clubs though, and we’re yet to learn as to what Mourinho’s plans are for the big Belgian.
However, you’d imagine Fellaini won’t be starting week-in-week-out for Manchester United this season. So if he wants to be playing regularly for a manager who loves what he does, then a move to Sunderland may be in his best interests.
Will this transfer happen? We’ll just have to wait and see.
