It has certainly been an interesting few days for Manchester United as players continue to be linked with an Old Trafford switch.
The latest name to add to the list is that of Norwich City’s Max Aarons. According to Sky Sports News, the 20-time Premier League champions are weighing up a move for the talented 19-year-old – should they fail in their attempts to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer.
In terms of the Crystal Palace man, the latest story we covered came from The Sun, with United ready to up their bid to £50million in an effort to tempt the London side into selling Wan-Bissaka.
Apparently, United consider Norwich’s Aarons as the back-up option to Wan-Bissaka, while Palace are also eyeing the Englishman in the event that they lose their right-back to the Red Devils…
The 2018/19 campaign was an outstanding breakthrough year for Aarons, so-much-so that he won a Championship title while featuring in the Championship Team of the Year.
He’s obviously a hugely talented young man, with Sky’s story stating that both Tottenham Hotspur and RB Leipzig have been interested in Aarons in recent months. Now United’s name is on his list of potential suitors.
I guess the worry is that he’s yet to test his ability in the Premier League. It’ll likely take him some time to adjust to the speed and style, but I’ve no doubt that eventually he’ll adapt adequately. Is he ready to be Manchester United’s starting right-back on the opening day of the 2019/20 season? I’m not so sure…
