Well, out of absolutely nowhere it looks as though Manchester United have found their new striker for the 2017/18 season. According to Sky Sports News, the Red Devils have agreed a fee with Everton to sign Romelu Lukaku, in a deal worth £75million.
The 24-year-old Belgian beast was an absolute revelation on Merseyside, scoring goals for fun including an impressive Premier League tally of 25 last term.

This is a player who has been in the Premier League for several seasons now, and has improved greatly year on year. Jose Mourinho knows him well from their time at Chelsea together, and the coach will know exactly what the Belgian will bring to the table.
In terms of a tailor-made replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, you’ll struggle to find anyone closer than what Lukaku offers. He’s tall, strong, great on either foot and has a deadly shot on him.
Manchester United have landed an absolutely wonderful player, and now it is down to Edward Woodward to push this deal over the line before United’s pre-season tour starts on Sunday.
As of right now, it is unclear as to whether the Red Devils will follow up their longstanding interest in Alvaro Morata, but I still feel like we need two new forwards, particularly if Wayne Rooney leaves.
