Manchester United have made some brilliant transfer incomings during this summer window under Jose Mourinho, and alongside that we’re always expecting major casualties. We could be about to get our first big name leaving Old Trafford in the next week…
Sky Sports News say that Stoke City are still hopeful of signing Phil Jones over the next seven days, with the 24-year-old on the fringes of things under Mourinho’s new-look United side.
Injuries certainly haven’t helped Jones’ case whatsoever, with the Englishman having only featured in ten league games during the 2015/16 campaign, pretty much summing things up for him.
Since his arrival five years ago, it has been a gradual decreasing in minutes for him, which has been a real shame because he is obviously supremely talented.
You’d completely understand Jose’s logic into parting with Phil Jones this summer, but you’d also see the reasoning in behind keeping him and giving him one final chance to impress.
