Manchester United Football Club have been linked to the possible appointment of a Sporting Director to help out Jose Mourinho, but that will not be the case. According to Sky Sports News, the club have no plans to bring in anyone in this role.
That rules out the possibility of Manchester United bringing in Sevilla’s current Director of Football, Monchi. Over recent weeks, the club have also been reportedly looking at Andrea Berta of Atletico Madrid, but that won’t happen either.
Sky go on to add that Mourinho and Woodward are content with conducting the transfer negotiations between themselves, with the manager having the final say on all transfers.
At the end of the day, Jose Mourinho is a very hands-on coach, and he loves to do as much as humanly possible to ensure his club are going in the right direction. He’s clearly keen to do the same again at Manchester United, and if that’s how he likes to work then let him be as he is one of the best in the business.
