Manchester United Football Club have been struggling to find that man who can guarantee twenty goals a season since Robin van Persie was sold, with Louis van Gaal heavily relying on the likes of Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney to get themselves on the scoresheet.
However this summer, Manchester United could have a new star striker leading the line but only under one condition; Louis van Gaal losing his job.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been linked with a move to Old Trafford over the last month or so, and the out-of-contract Swede has spoken about the situation and admitted he’d be willing to move to Manchester United, but only if Louis van Gaal isn’t boss.
At the end of the day it would be a huge gamble to bring in Ibrahimovic, and I don’t think the board will make a hasty decision on Van Gaal solely based on what the 34-year old has said. Would it be good to see him in the red of United? Of course, but it’d only be a short-term fix so I’d be hesitant.
