Manchester United Football Club have been hit by an injury bug this term, with several key faces missing for prolonged periods.
One player who is developing an unwanted reputation of being injury-prone is Diogo Dalot. It seems as though the Portuguese plays well for a few games, then is sidelined for a couple of months…
Now, he’s on his way back from the treatment table once again. According to the BBC’s Simon Stone, Solskjaer has today confirmed that the United star will make his injury comeback for the club’s U19s vs AC Milan tonight at Leigh Sports Village.
After impressing last term, we’ve barely seen Dalot this time around, though the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka hasn’t helped in that regard.
However, having two quality players vying for one place in the team is only a good thing. It’ll spur both of them on to play even better and that’s why it’s vital that Dalot now stays fit.
Dalot is still only 20 and time is definitely on his side. There’s a quality performer in there, make no mistake about it. Personally, I still feel his future lies further afield, perhaps as a winger, but now he needs a good run in the side to boost his confidence.
Welcome back, Diogo!
