Solskjaer confirms duo missing Everton game with injury

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has offered the all-important team news update, as Man United take on Everton.

Manchester United take on Everton tomorrow, in another huge Premier League fixture. It goes without saying, this one will not be a walk in the park. The Toffees have been in decent form this term, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men also offering some topsy-turvy results.

Winning on your home turf is vital in any title race. That loss against Aston Villa last time out hurt so we have to right those wrongs today. Ahead of the all-important clash, the gaffer has offered us the all-important team news.

Sadly, Solskjaer has confirmed that a duo are out of this one with injury, while another key star remains doubtful with a shoulder issue.

“Harry is still out and Amad is still out. We didn’t lose anyone on Wednesday night,” confirmed Ole, to ManUtd.com.

“Luke feels better in himself. He’s been ill but he’s still got the shoulder injury,” Solskjaer also said.

Obviously, losing the skipper Harry Maguire is a big blow. He’s integral to this side for more than one reason and it’s going to be much more difficult without him.

Amad was always going to be unavailable here despite his return to training last week. He’ll probably be available after the international break.

As for Luke Shaw, Solskajer didn’t want to give too much away. my guess is that he can be risked if needed, but I’m not sure it’s worth the gamble. He must be feeling well enough, otherwise, Gareth Southgate wouldn’t have called him up for England duty.

The good news is that our squad is deep at pretty much every position so our back-ups are better than most club’s starters. The likes of Victor Lindelof and Alex Telles can slot in again if needed here.

Hopefully, Shaw and Maguire are both feeling well enough to return in a fortnight following the international break.
