Solskjaer gives injury update, hints two players will feature vs Everton

Manchester United Football Club are two wins from seven. The Red Devils need to return to form sooner rather than later, particularly if they’re to be playing Champions League football next season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will now realise the task that he has is a monumental one and the games just aren’t getting any easier. Next up is a potentially tricky trip to Goodison Park; a ground that United have had their struggles at in the past.

Before the game, the gaffer met the media to give a mixed injury update. To me, it sounds like both Nemanja Matic and Alexis Sanchez could well start the game, at the very least, it seems as though they’ll be second-half substitutes.

“Nemanja and Alexis had a good session yesterday [Thursday] as well, so they will probably be involved,” Solskjaer told ManUtd.com/MUTV.

“The squad is looking good and getting better and better, I have to say,”

“Ander is back in training – he’s been working really hard. Eric will be back in training over the weekend, Antonio we’re not sure about yet.”

It’s also massive to learn that Ander Herrera is back in training. Amid all the talk about his future, it’s easy to forget just how vital the Basque-born midfielder has been for us. As for Eric Bailly and Antonio Valencia, they’ve been non-factors all season.

This is a must-win game and United’s squad is looking healthier than it has done for a while. We go into this one desperate for three points to keep the Champions League dream alive.

Obviously, that’s easier said than done. It’s now time for this mega-talented squad to re-focus and get back to winning ways. We need a strong end to the season and it all starts on Sunday afternoon.
