Manchester United’s start to the season can only be described as shaky. After an excellent performance against Chelsea, things have quickly fizzled out and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a serious problem…

When you sell players without replacing them, this is always likely to happen. The good news is that United have an excellent fountain of youth which they now must utilise.

In an article about United’s overall plan and blueprint, The Independent offers us a rather important little snippet in regards to youth…

They say that Solskjaer is seriously considering throwing the talented 17-year-old, Mason Greenwood, into the starting XI after injuries combined with player struggles.

After an excellent pre-season tour, I’m surprised Greenwood hasn’t been utilised with regularity so far. We’re talking about a mega-talented young man who knows where the back of the net us. One of our main problems at the start of this season has been sticking it in the onion bag. To me, it feels like a no brainer.

Greenwood is a young man with a wise head upon his shoulders. He’s so ready to play regular first-team football, and no doubt we will see more of him after the international break as United start their Carabao Cup and Europa League campaigns.
