Solskjaer offers multiple injury boosts ahead of Man United vs Arsenal

Manchester United fans are in dreamland, but for the club, it’s time to remain focused and controlled.

Perhaps United’s number one aim is to secure a top four finish. That task continues this weekend with a hugely difficult game away at Arsenal. London has been a happy hunting ground for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer during his short tenure as Red Devils boss. Here’s to hoping that continues this weekend.

Before the big game at The Emirates, the Baby Faced Assassin delivered a hugely positive injury update, confirming that no fewer than four players should return from injury.

“Eric’s fine.” Solskjaer told ManUtd.com. “Anthony will be available and, hopefully, we’ll have Nemanja and/or Ander ready as well, so we’re looking better for it. They just need to have another couple of days’ training with the team. They’ve done well in their recovery work.”

It’s brilliant to hear that Eric Bailly is fit and raring to go after he hobbled off against PSG, but the huge boosts come in midfield. Nemanja Matic’s return is eagerly anticipated and we all know exactly what Ander Herrera can do.

Having Anthony Martial ready to play just gives Solskjaer another option in an area of the field where the Reds were looking pretty thin. His pace, skill and finishing ability could be key if we’re to scoop all three points from this one.

To be honest, even if these guys don’t start, at least it gives us some extra quality from off the subs bench if we need it. With some key games just on the horizon, their returns couldn’t have been any more timely.
