After a two-week break, Manchester United are ready and roaring to go once again. This time, they’ve got a permanent manager at the helm.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was rightly handed the job on a permanent basis and now it’s down to the players to continue to back the Norwegian.
The fortnight international break probably came at a good time, to be honest. United’s squad was looking thin in terms of numbers due to various injury problems, and before an extremely important game against Watford the boss has given us a mixed injury update.
“We’ve had a very good training week. Some have been away and have come back okay.” Solskjaer exclusively told the ManUtd official app. “Alexis has just come back and there is only him who is out, along with Matteo and Antonio. Those three are out. We’ll have to check on one or two of the others.”
So it looks as though Alexis Sanchez, Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia are the only players ruled out of this one. That means the likes of Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial could all feature.
This is the massive boost that we need, although it is disappointing to learn that Sanchez, in particular, is still missing.
Solskjaer will be going into this game brimming with confidence. The fans will be behind him and he has a deep squad to choose from. They’ll be a huge roar from the Old Trafford crowd no doubt, and then it’s down to the lads to go out on that field and give it their all.
