For Manchester United, all has gone rather quiet on the transfer front. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sealed two signings early, but since then, nothing concrete has really happened…

Today, we’ve another update on a potential United move for Paulo Dybala. The story comes from Tuttosport’s Wednesday print edition, translated via Sport Witness. The Italian media outlet state that their sources in Argentina are telling them the forward is seriously considering leaving Juventus this summer.

It was only recently that Dybala has thought about leaving Turin, although Juventus themselves are waiting to hear that from the horse’s mouth.

Enter United. Apparently, the Red Devils are ‘courting’ Dybala, although Tottenham has made inquiries while Paris Saint-Germain remains keen.

Juventus are yet to receive an offer for Dybala, while the Serie A side want a transfer fee of €80-€100m (£71-90m) plus bonuses minimum…

Furthermore, Solskjer ‘wants’ his side to sign the 25-year-old, so that he can play alongside Marcus Rashford. Apparently, the Red Devils are trying to ‘please’ their manager by delivering the signing.

The obvious problem (once again) is the lack of Champions League football on the table. Dybala is an ambitious player, he wants to be playing in the premier competitions. Would the Reds be able to convince the Argentine to move to Old Trafford during this window? I have my doubts…
