Victor Valdes has no future at Manchester United, despite being included in the club’s Premier League squad, according to The Metro. The 33-year old World Cup winner had a falling out with Louis van Gaal over a refusal to play for the reserves in March last season.
The Spaniard was strongly linked with a move to Turkish side Besiktas, but as the transfer deadline was approaching that deal fell through for unknown reasons.
Manchester United didn’t have time to find another buyer for Valdes, and then were forced into including him in their Premier League squad as they had to fulfil their quota.
Many thought the inclusion would be a way back into the side for the goalkeeper, but that isn’t the case and he will remain Manchester United’s fourth choice shot-stopper for the time being.
Victor Valdes still hasn’t been handed an official squad number for this season either, with further enhances these rumours.
