Manchester United made the move for Victor Valdes almost a year ago now, and the 33-year old shot-stopper has only started one Premier League game in that time. Reports emerged of a spat between him and Louis van Gaal, regarding refusal to play for Manchester United’s U21 side last season.
Xavi has had his say on the situation involving his former teammate at FC Barcelona:
“Van Gaal and Valdes are two strong characters, but it’s a difficult situation for Victor.” Xavi said. “He’ll return to football. It’s better for Victor to be playing football.”
It is quite a shame to watch whats happening to Victor Valdes. The experienced Spaniard has been exiled from the first-team squad following a falling out with Louis an Gaal, and although Manchester United have tried to move him on, there haven’t been any takers yet.
