Manchester United have had a major goalkeeping dilemma on their hands all summer. David de Gea’s future at the club is still up in the air, and the Old Trafford side have certainly been sending mixed messages of the future of Victor Valdes.
The World Cup winner was left out of Manchester United’s Champions League squad, and at the time it looked as though his time at the club was up after less than six months in Manchester.
However shortly after that, Valdes was included in United’s Premier League squad – meaning a reprieve could’ve been on the cards. However, the Manchester Evening News claim that there is no way back for the 33-year old, and the only reason he was included was to comply with Premier League registration rules.
Valdes signed for Manchester United on a free transfer back in January, and according to Louis van Gaal he refused to play for the U21 side on occasions toward the back end of last season – hence the huge falling out between the pair.
