Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic wants Man United move

Stuttgart attacker, Sasa Kalajdzic, would be keen on a transfer to Man United this summer.

Manchester United Football Club may well be in the hunt for a new striker this summer, mostly due to Cristiano Ronaldo’s uncertain future.

The Portugal international may well start later today when the Red Devils take on Brentford, though that’s because he’s literally the only available option in that position of the field right now.

One player linked with filling that void is Stuttgart forward, Saka Kalajdzic. If you believe recent claims, United are at least keeping tabs on the Austrian.

Well, Sky Sports News’ Dharmesh Sheth has given us the viewpoint from the camp of the player – and it’s pretty big news…

Apparently, sources close to the player claim that the 25-year-old ‘wants to move’ to Man United. Kalajdzic is entering into the final year of his contract, meaning he could be available for relatively cheap. He’s also thought to be one of a ‘number’ of strikers the Old Trafford club are looking at.

Aged 25, Kalajdzic feels the ‘time is right’ for a ‘new challenge’.

The most notable thing about Kalajdzic is his height. The striker stands at 6’7, meaning the Old Trafford club would absolutely be signing a player who can make an impact from set-pieces in both penalty boxes.

Kalajdzic’s best scoring season for Stuttgart came back in 2020/21, during which the forward struck seventeen times. That’s a pretty impressive number given the fact that Stuttgart aren’t widely known as one of the top Bundesliga sides.

You’d hope that with better service and regular playing time, Kalajdzic could improve on that number. However, he likely wouldn’t be relied upon to start every week…

Do you think Sasa Kalajdzic would be a good signing for Man United? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
