Summer signings I would welcome

Every season we are linked with almost every player under the sun, a new week brings a new name to Old Trafford, and lets be honest, most of them are just utter lies. After trawling through the list of players who we have been linked with, here is a few I would want to become a part of our clubs illustrious history:

Luka Modric: The Croat was linked with Chelsea heavily last year, and the word was that he wanted to go. However Tottenham managed to keep hold of him for an extra season, and with the possibility Chelsea may not make it into next years Champions League, he may be interested in a move to our club. This also depends on how much transfer kitty the Glazers intend to give us, as he could cost £30million and upwards.

Eden Hazard: The Lille playmaker is an exceptional talent, at just 20 years old time is definitely on his side, and a move to a big club seems inevitable this summer. The real question is which club takes his fancy. He has a choice of some of Europe’s elite, including ourselves, Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid to name a few. SAF has confessed this week that he attended a Lille game and had a close look at the young Belgian, he was quoted in saying:

“He is a very good player who has many qualities. He is particularly fast over the first 10 yards.”

Hazard is another one who will come at a cost, with Lille wanting somewhere in the region of £35million and upwards for his signature.

Nathaniel Clyne: The 21 year old has come up through the Crystal Palace youth system, he can play right and left back which is the key factor for us. With Evra having a bad season, we definitely need some cover for him, Clyne won the Championship Young Player of the Year award last term and he made the Championship team of the year this season. He has a bright future ahead of him and he could be available for as little as £2million pounds, meaning there is no risk involved. He is only young and still learning the game, but clearly he has talent.

With our team still being in transition, the young average age of our squad means that we are just going to get better and better. I think at least one or two established names will give us a great chance of lifting the title going into next season, the talent we have coming through our system is reminiscent of the famed class of 92. Lets hope they live up to expectations and we can dominate England and Europe for many more years to come. Lets ave’ it Reds!
