Superstar teenager emerges as £80million summer target for Man United: report

Manchester United simply have to make amends for last summer’s transfer horror show, that much is obvious.

While we’re still unsure who the next permanent manager is, the club are seemingly looking to press on and sort out potential signings.

The latest name to be linked with an Old Trafford move is Borussia Dortmund superstar, Jadon Sancho.

According to The Independent, United have identified the 18-year-old as a summer target; and will press on with an £80million move to acquire the ex-Manchester City attacker.

The Independent’s report also states that the Red Devils are unlikely to make a move for FC Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho…

If I had to choose between the two, I’d go for Sancho every single time. He’s younger which gives him more room to grow, and you have to be mightily impressed with his performances while playing over in Germany this year.

As expected, Dortmud want to keep ahold of Sancho and they hope that the player understands that playing at the Westfalonstadion for another season will only improve his game.

But, if the right offer comes in, I’d imagine they’d have to cash in while his value is high. Being young and English comes at an inflated cost, but if any club can afford to pay those premuims, it’s United.
