Talented 21-year-old Man United man could join Spurs this summer – report

Manchester United Football Club had a relatively busy January transfer window in terms of players leaving the club, with Jose Mourinho sanctioning moves away for both Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay. Moves away were to be expected, as the manager looks to chop and change his playing squad.

Now that overhaul could well continue in the summer, and another one of Louis van Gaal’s signings could be the next player out of the door. According to The Mirror, Luke Shaw is set to head to Tottenham Hotspur as a direct replacement for Danny Rose; who is off to Manchester City.

It would be proper gutting if Jose called time on Shaw’s career so early on, but I wouldn’t be surprised if a deal happened. The 21-year-old has barely featured under the self-proclaimed Special One this season, and it just feels like Mourinho doesn’t fancy the Englishman for some reason or another. That has been evident when the likes of Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian have all been deployed out there ahead of Shaw.

The left-back really has had a torrid time of things since suffering that horrific leg-break against PSV eighteen months ago now. He hasn’t really had a real run of games in the side to get his confidence back flowing again, and it’d be a real shame to see him leave without being given a chance.
