Talented Brazilian speaks out on rumours linking him to Manchester United

Manchester United Football Club have been linked to a whole host of names over the last few days as the transfer window has finally opened, but the latest link is a move for PSG’s talented centre-half, Marquinhos. The 22-year old has had his say on the situation, and claimed its a pleasure to be linked with United.

“It’s my pleasure. It means that we work well. Like everyone else, I always want to be a part of the starting line-up. But we all must respect the choices of the coach and management.

I will continue to work to get my place. But it’s true there will come a moment where I am older. You cannot just get used to sitting on the bench. There are six months left for PSG to win titles. After that, we’ll see what happens.”

Marquinhos has struggled to break into the PSG side on a regular basis, which is largely down to a pair of his Brazilian compatriots – David Luiz and Thiago Silva.

There is no questioning his talent though. He has bags of ability and Louis van Gaal is sure to like him because he is versatile, he also offers the ability to play at right-back. He won’t come on the cheap however, and he is still young so it certainly would be a gamble.
