Talented Manchester United player set to make first appearance of season

David de Gea is all set to make his first Manchester United appearance of the season against Liverpool this weekend, after one of the most prolonged transfer sagas of the summer finally came to an end when the Spaniard didn’t get his dream move to Real Madrid.

The 25-year old is all set to make his first appearance of the season later today, for his native Spain as they take on Macedonia. According to The Telegraph, De Gea starting in this game could persuade Louis van Gaal to opt for him to start against United’s most bitterest of rivals come 5:30pm on Saturday.

David de Gea has been left out of action due to not being in the right frame of mind according to Van Gaal, but now the transfer window is shut the goalkeeper should be ready and able to play once again.

His return could not have been more timely, after his stand-in Sergio Romero made two howlers which eventually led to United’s 2-1 defeat away at Swansea a week or so ago.
