Erik ten Hag has offered Man United fans a positive injury update, ahead of the game vs Leicester City tomorrow.
Manchester United Football Club are rolling right now. Another weekend of results going our way and the Red Devils could be propelled into the title conversation…
This weekend, Leicester City visit Old Trafford in a match that the Red Devils simply have to win. The game itself will be a tough one, with the Foxes also playing some good stuff of late.
Ahead of the match, Erik ten Hag met the media to conduct his usual pre-match press conference, offering an encouraging injury update. He said that ‘maybe’ one or two players will make their return – though didn’t offer any identities.
You’d imagine it’d be out of Antony, Anthony Martial and Scott McTominay.
“Maybe. We have to wait until tomorrow. Maybe one or two players can return, yeah,” Ten Hag told ManUtd.com.
I believe it’s Antony and McTominay who are the closest – both of which would provide some much-needed depth in a couple of positions where the Red Devils are light.
This is certainly good news for the gaffer, with United set for a huge week of football ahead. Games against FC Barcelona and Newcastle United in two cup competitions could legitimately define our season. Having as close to a fully fit squad as possible is vital.
First up, though, all focus has to be on Leicester City and winning all three points in front of a packed out Old Trafford. Hopefully, the lads who are fully fit and available can get this job done relatively stress-free, giving the dressing room further confidence at a time when morale is already high.
