The reason behind Adnan Januzaj’s lack of game time for Borussia Dortmund

Manchester United made somewhat of a bizarre move on transfer deadline day, when they gave Adnan Januzaj permission to leave the club on loan, despite featuring heavily during the first month of the season.

The 20-year old Belgian made the move to Borrusia Dortmund, a club who thrive at producing youngsters and giving them some much-needed game time.

Januzaj made a good initial impression in Germany, but shortly after found himself out of the starting XI. The reason behind that has come to light, and the Dortmund manager, Thomas Tuchel, finds the tricky winger ‘too slow’ according to reports.

At the end of the day Januzaj has never been blessed with blistering pace, nor will he ever be as that isn’t his game and style of play. Surely the Dortmund hierarchy would have known that before making their move for him? If true, United should recall him back to the club as soon as possible.
