Manchester United fans finally got their wish over recent weeks, as Wayne Rooney was finally dropped from the starting line-up after some truly awful performances. Now, it looks as though not even the minnows of the footballing world want to sign the 31-year-old from Liverpool.
The latest to rule out a move for Rooney is Sven Goran Eriksson, who currently manages in the Chinese Super League. He has stated that he isn’t interested in the services of the England record holder as he approaches the latter stages of his career.
It really has been a colossal fall from grace for Manchester United’s striker, and it has all happened so quickly which is gutting to see. At this point in time you struggle to see just how he is going to score those few goals that’ll see him become our all-time top goalscorer.
I desperately hope he does manage to find the back of the net those four times, and he’ll certainly get the opportunities to do so this season, but he better do it quick because the longer it goes on the harder it’ll become.
