Three Manchester United players who have to improve over the international break

Manchester United are certainly a side on the up, with Louis van Gaal’s team not playing the most attractive brand of football but getting results. There is no United football for the next two weeks, but there are three players who certainly need to up their game.

Memphis Depay – Big things were expected of the 21-year old but it never really materialised. His confidence looks shattered, he looks scared to beat a man and now finds himself out of the team. A couple of weeks break might help him out.

Wayne Rooney – His form all season has been woeful. His touch looks heavy, he looks lacking in any real pace and his all-round game just hasn’t been good enough. Hopefully a goal or two for England could work wonders.

Matteo Darmian – The Italian started the season wonderfully but has since faded somewhat. His performances over the last month or so have been average at best, and he needs to improve, and quickly.
