Three players who Manchester United should drop for West Ham game

Manchester United take on West Ham tomorrow, in the last ever game at Upton Park. Louis van Gaal’s men simply have to take all three points to move up into fourth place in the Premier League table. Ahead of the game, we’ve decided to take a look at three players who should be dropped.

Jesse Lingard

First up is Jesse Lingard. The young winger hasn’t been anywhere near his best over recent weeks, and has been missing for large portions of the last few games. Perhaps he needs a game or two on the bench to regain those fitness levels before being brought back into the side. A suitable replacement for him in the side could be Memphis Depay.

Michael Carrick

Carrick isn’t getting any younger and he has played in almost every game recently. The 34-year old’s lack of movement has been evident this season, and like Lingard, a rest is much-needed for the veteran. It would also provide a chance for Ander Herrera to impress, with the Spaniard having very limited minutes all season.

Marcos Rojo

The final man on the list just doesn’t look good enough for Manchester United. Marcos Rojo’s defending has been nothing short of atrocious since the turn of the year, and he has just looked a little lost in the United back four. I’d like to see Timothy Fosu-Mensah come in at left-back, and given a proper run in the side.
