Three players who Manchester United simply have to sell this summer

Manchester United’s team has looked awful at times, with Louis van Gaal trying to overhaul a massively disappointing squad in such a short space of time. That process will continue over the summer, so we’ve looked at three players who must be shipped off when the window opens.

Marouane Fellaini

Although the big Belgian has certain qualities, he just doesn’t fit the Manchester United mould. He has been made the scapegoat at times this season, and unfairly too.

However it would be best for all involved if he moved on now. He needs regular football, United would get a decent fee for him and the fans wouldn’t be too fussed to see him leave.

Sergio Romero

Romero is nothing more than a backup, and an average one at that. He was a free transfer meaning there was no risk in bringing him in, but we have Sam Johnstone waiting in the wings who is already just as good with much higher potential.

Phil Jones

This one is a tricky one, but you feel it is now time for Phil Jones to leave. The Englishman is constantly injured, and we’ve had a few years of him sitting on the treatment table without much success.

Plenty of clubs would be keen on his services and we could get some good money for him due to English player premiums.
