Manchester United are a club who have a tradition of developing and promoting young players from their academy, whilst buying the best talents around Europe. That has certainly been evident this season, and we’ve taken a look at a trio who simply have to keep on playing until the end of this current campaign.
The first one is without doubt the most obvious – Anthony Martial. The Frenchman cost Manchester United a huge £38million from AS Monaco, and the fans certainly expected him to be eased into things at Old Trafford. However that wasn’t the case and he has been outstanding since day one, and is arguably our most important player at this point in time.
Second is the emergence of Manchester’s own Cameron Borthwick-Jackson. The young man has been a delight to watch at left-back over the last few weeks, and his development has really come out of nowhere. He looks calm beyond his years, defends extremely well as well as providing a threat going forward. His crossing is some of the best i’ve seen from a full-back, and he has been rewarded with two assists in his last two outings.
Finally on the list is Jesse Lingard. Although the winger is still extremely rough around the edges, Manchester United have to persist with him going forward. He knows exactly where the back of the net is, and is a great finisher of the ball. He just needs to have the belief that he can go past his man, as he clearly has the pace and skill to do so.
