Manchester United and Crystal Palace have agreed upon a deal that’ll see Timothy Fosu-Mensah move to Selhurst Park on loan for one season. The move was finally announced earlier today, in a deal that’ll be a great experience for the 19-year-old defender.
Shortly after the transfer became official, Fosu-Mensah took to Twitter to send a classy message to the Red Devils fans who adore him so much.

This opportunity will benefit him so greatly, and the good news is that his eyes seem firmly on the prize; making it at Manchester United. He understands that sometimes, he’ll have to take a step back in order to further his career.
Fosu-Mensah has already proven that he has the capabilities to play Premier League football, and this deal to join Frank de Boer will allow him to grow and develop as a player due to regular on-field minutes that he won’t receive under Jose Mourinho right now.
The key factor is that he is actually playing. Andreas Pereira is a success story of the loan system, just look at how well he played for Granada last term. However, then, you look at Cameron Borthwick-Jackson who couldn’t even get minutes for Wolves in the Championship. Hopefully, this is the former.
Best of luck, Tim.
