There have been growing concerns in the Bayern Munich camp about the future of their midfielder Toni Kroos, and speculation has increased once again today as Kroos was rather upset when he was subbed off tonight. Bayern were 1-0 down at the time, but Kroos looked disgusted to be replaced, and threw his gloves down in temper.
Bayern went on to win the game 2-1 courtesy of a late scissor kick from Thiago, justifying Kroos being replaced. This is shaping up to be very similar as to the situation of Juan Mata, who did a similar thing on New Years Day after being subbed off for Chelsea.
If a player of Kroos’ calibre is available in this window, Manchester United simply must try to get him. He can pick a pass from deep in midfield, and he can also make a tackle too. He’d lift spirits, and adding him would certainly give us a greater chance of finishing in the top four this season.
I still have my doubts though. Why would he want to leave Bayern Munich who are currently the best side in the world, for a side struggling in seventh place in their league. I reckon he’s using us to get himself a better deal at Bayern. A tactic which is happening an awful lot recently.
If he is available. Moyes, you have 48 hours to work your magic.
