Earlier today we learnt that Manchester United had reportedly seen their £20m bid accepted by Bayern Munich for the signature of Toni Kroos. United’s chances of signing the 24-year old have been further boosted, as no improved contract has been offered to him by Bayern Munich.
Bundesliga expert Raphael Honigstein has claimed that although Pep Guardiola wants Kroos to stay, the club will not be improving any contract offer for the player; Meaning that Kroos is likely to leave Bavaria this summer.
Pep still wants him to stay but Bayern haven’t improved their contract offer (says president Hopfner in Kicker): looks like Kroos will go

If somehow United could pull this signature off then it’d be a real signal of intent for the fans, and our Premier League rivals. Despite sitting in seventh place in the table, the club can still attract huge names to the club, and a deal for Toni Kroos looks like it could happen.
United are now as short as 1/ 4 on to sign Kroos this summer, meaning the bookmakers suggest this move could happen.
EDIT: Since writing this, Jamie Jackson from the Guardian has claimed United’s interest in Kroos has cooled. Piece to come later.

Check the guardian newspaper, looks like it wont happen now.
