Manchester United may have just been handed a boost in their pursuit of AS Monaco star, Fabinho. The Daily Star writes that the versatile 23-year-old stormed out of pre-season training, following a disagreement.
He was apparently videoed throwing a bib to the floor, before kicking a ball in frustration. At which point he stormed off the training field, then the video ended.
As us Red Devils fans know, Fabinho’s name has been touted by the media to be one of Jose Mourinho’s primary transfer targets this summer. Following this apparent friction, this may be the perfect time to pounce and launch a bid for their man.
Fabinho would be the perfect signing for Manchester United right now. In my opinion, the club are still short at both right-back and midfield, and the Brazilian is more than capable at playing in both positions at an extremely high level.
He’d instantly make our squad look a whole lot stronger, and Fabinho has that big-game experience. He helped AS Monaco win their first Ligue 1 title in quite some time last year as well as being a major part of their side that managed to make it all the way to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
With less than four weeks to go until the transfer window slams shut, Edward Woodward will have to act quick, but he simply has to get this deal done, in my opinion anyway.
