Manchester United are looking to hijack Chelsea’s move for Cesc Fabregas, according to Tancredi Palmeri. Since then, United’s odds have been slashed from 16/1 down to 2/1 after a huge string of bets have been placed on the 27-year old coming to Old Trafford.
Its public knowledge that Barcelona are looking to offload Fabregas, and Chelsea are believed to have almost sealed a deal for the attacking midfielder – thought to be around the £30million mark.
Palmeri, an Italian journalist, claims Manchester United have offered bigger wages to the player himself. However Barcelona would prefer to sell him to Chelsea (which makes no sense at all because they are in the Champions League and we aren’t for another year at least).
EXCLUSIVE: Manchester United have outbid the wages offered by Chelsea to Fabregas. Still no bid placed to Barcelona, who prefer Chelsea

Palmeri however, has often been known to get transfer rumours wrong recently. So take this one with a pinch of salt for now.
