Manchester United forked out a huge £37.1million to bring Juan Mata in the club a couple of years ago, which ironically was one of the only decent things about David Moyes’ reign. However the fan favourite could be on the move again this summer.
According to the Turkish media outlet A Spor, Fenerbahce are eyeing their third move for a Manchester United player in twelve months, with Juan Mata high on their list of summer priorities.
Many expected much more than we’ve seen from the talented Spaniard in terms of creativity, and although he has scored some important goals at pivotal times, he hasn’t really dazzled the Old Trafford crowd as much as we’d expect.
Honestly, if Jose Mourinho is the man who is coming in to take over from Louis van Gaal, parting with Juan Mata is probably an inevitability. The main concern would be the fact that Fenerbahce are interested in him, and they wouldn’t be able to pay the astronomical fee that we’d obviously prefer.
