For Manchester United, April is a huge month. The Red Devils play some massive Premier League games, and who can forget about our epic double-header with FC Barcelona?
With almost a week to go until the first leg of the Champions League tie, it seems as though Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to get some first-teamers minutes for the U23s…
According to the Manchester Evening News, both Marcos Rojo and Andreas Pereira will run out for United’s U23s this evening as they take on West Brom.
Rojo has turned into somewhat of the forgotten man at United. He’s barely featured for the first-team due to various injuries while also falling down the pecking order. It makes sense to give the Argentine some minutes as he tries to work his way back to full fitness.
Pereira’s an odd one. The Brazilian has been a regular feature within United’s match-day squad over the last month or so, but perhaps Solskjaer feels he needs the game time. Hopefully, he doesn’t take it the wrong way, instead, using it to his advantage.
It’ll be intriguing to see how the duo fare tonight against WBA, and I wonder if Pereira can play his way into the starting line-up for the first leg against Barcelona next Wednesday…
