Fabrizio Romano has given the ‘here we go’, as Tyrell Malacia looks set to join Man United.
Well, we Manchester United fans have been made to wait for this, though the first signing of the Erik ten Hag era is just around the corner.
Credit must go to the club first and foremost. They’ve done an absolutely incredible job at keeping this under wraps, with the media seemingly sent down a different road due to United’s good work.
It’s Fabrizio Romano with the scoop. Last night, he took to Twitter to give his patented ‘Here we go’ line in regards to Tyrell Malacia joining the club.
Apparently, personal terms have been agreed with Malacia, as United near their first signing of the summer. Apparently, the contracts will be signed ‘soon’ with the 22-year-old to become Erik ten Hag’s first addition.
In terms of finances, the deal will total £14.6m, which isn’t bad at all given the length of service that Malacia could eventually give us.
The Malacia links grew stronger and stronger as the week went on, as Ten Hag looks to surround himself with familiarity during his debut season at Old Trafford.
It’s up to the crowd to remain patient with Malacia. After all, he’s still so young in football terms and we shouldn’t expect to come in and start every week from day one.
In an ideal world, Malacia will be signed, sealed and delivered in time for the start of our pre-season tour in a little over one weeks’ time. No doubt that’ll give the Dutchman plenty of time to get comfortable with his new teammates, while giving the player a settling in period here in England.
Hopefully, we get official confirmation from the club soon.
