Manchester United have announced the squad that will travel to Sweden today to take on AIK tomorrow night in their last friendly match before the Community Shield. The big news is that Wayne Rooney has been left out due to a ‘shoulder injury’, David de Gea, Tom Cleverley and Rio Ferdinand also miss out.
I expected a stronger squad to be named here but Moyes obviously has one eye on Rio’s testimonial and the Community Shield against Wigan at the weekend.
